About the Units
What sizes of storage units do you offer?
We offer eight sizes ranging from a compact 6m² right through to a spacious 45m². You can view the full range and pricing on our Storage Units page.
How do I know which size I need?
As a rough guide: a 6–7m² unit holds a few boxes or a bachelor flat clear-out, a 9–12m² unit holds a one to two-bedroom home, and a 31–45m² unit holds a large home or business stock.
If you'd like advice for your specific situation, give us a call and we'll talk it through with you.
Are the units clean and dry?
Yes. Every unit is thoroughly cleaned and inspected before you receive your keys. Our facility is built and maintained to keep your belongings dry and protected.
Can I switch to a bigger or smaller unit later?
Absolutely. If your storage needs change, just let us know. As long as another size is available, we'll help you move across.
Access & Security
How secure is the StorCo facility?
Each unit is individually locked — with your own lock and key — and the site has controlled access and monitoring. Only authorised customers can enter the premises.
When can I access my unit?
Access is available during our standard operating hours. If you need access outside those hours, please get in touch in advance and we'll do our best to accommodate.
Who has the key to my unit?
Only you. You provide and keep the key (or padlock). We do not hold a duplicate.
Pricing & Payments
Are the prices on your website final?
Yes. The prices listed are the monthly rentals. There are no hidden fees or surprise add-ons. Prices are subject to change — please contact us to confirm the latest rate when you reserve.
Is there a deposit?
Please contact us for the latest deposit and sign-up details for your chosen unit size.
How is rent paid?
Rent is paid monthly. We'll walk you through the available payment options when you sign up.
Do I need to sign a long contract?
No. We offer simple month-to-month rentals, so you can stay as long or as little as you need.
What You Can Store
What can I store in my unit?
Most household goods, furniture, business stock, archives, equipment and personal belongings. If you're unsure whether your items are suitable, just ask — we're happy to advise.
What can't I store?
For safety and legal reasons, no flammable, hazardous, perishable, illegal or live items (food, plants, animals, fuel, paint, gas bottles, etc.) may be stored. If you're not sure, please ask.
Can I use my unit for business?
Yes — many of our customers use StorCo for business stock, archives, tools and equipment. Contact us if you'd like advice on the right size.
Moving In & Out
How do I reserve a unit?
Get in touch via our Contact page, by phone or by email. We'll check availability for your preferred size and walk you through the simple sign-up.
How much notice do I need to give to move out?
Please give us a few days' notice so we can finalise your account and prepare the unit for the next customer. Specific notice terms are confirmed at sign-up.
Do you provide help with moving?
We don't provide a moving service ourselves, but we're happy to recommend trusted local movers in the Vaal area on request.
